  General information about the institution

Kyiv Regional Higher Vocational School of Food Technologies and Restaurant Service was founded in 1931. The VET institution trained specialists for meat processing enterprises. Significant changes occurred in the 90s. Work has begun on the opening of new professions and their integration for catering enterprises.

Educational activities in the VET institution are carried out by 26 pedagogical workers, of which 13 are teachers, 10 are masters of industrial training, 3 are educators. Including professoes who have a pedagogical title: teacher-methodologist - 1, senior teacher - 4, master of industrial training of I category - 1, master of industrial training of II category - 2. Qualification categories: specialist of the highest category - 6, specialist of the first category - 8, specialist of the second category - 3.

Our institution provides educational services to more than 300 students, many of whom after graduation open their own business in the field of catering.

During the training, students take part in all-Ukrainian and international competitions of professional skill, at which they repeatedly became winners. They also actively participate in extracurricular activities, charity events, sports games, competitions and show high results of achievements.

The VET institution has international experience and cooperation in training skilled workers with educational institutions of the Republic of Lithuania. The experience of colleagues in the application of a modular competence approach to the professional training of future skilled workers, the modernization of the educational process was studied. Participation in experience exchange programs, projects, forums, seminars, joint competitions of professional skill.

We also strive to develop non-Olympic sports (Dragon rowing and powerlifting) in the educational institution in order to provide active and meaningful leisure in after-hours time, self-realization of young people through participation in competitions of various levels and achievement of sports results.
